Ludington Office

Scott has been with Smith and Eddy insurance since 1995. His primary focus is personal lines of insurance. However, he is very active in small commercial accounts. Along, with selling insurance Scott is also responsible for the day to day operations of the Ludington office. “Auto, home, recreational vehicles, cycles, watercraft, including charter boats is what our mix of companies allows me to be very competitive in, on a daily basis. I’ve been very lucky enough to live and work in the same town my entire life. I’m very active in the community. My wife and 2 young boys certainly keep me on the go. If I’m not at work you’ll most likely will find me hunting, fishing, attending a Ludington Area Schools event, or just enjoying the Ludington area.”

Pam Bannon was born in Ludington, attended Ludington schools and took college classes at West Shore Community College. You could say her roots run deep. Pam was licensed in 2005 and came to Smith & Eddy when the AAA office in Ludington closed in 2008. She’s been working in the insurance industry since high school.

Ann Belisle was born & raised in Mason County. After graduation she moved away, got married and had two children, Zane, 15 and Ashlynn, 13.
After returning to the Mason County area, Ann joined the team at Smith & Eddy as a Customer Service Rep. Her duties at the Ludington office are to answer phones, work face to face with customers that come in the office, handling their billing, claims and helping them with questions they may have about their policies.
“When I am not at work I enjoy spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing and being with my family and my 1 year old yellow lab, Cutter.”

Don has been in the insurance business 38 years, with Smith & Eddy Insurance agency approximately seventeen of those years. He specializes in Business/Commercial Insurance but he handles all lines of insurance. “My real expertise is being responsive to my customers, finding ways to solve their insurance problems and getting answers to their questions or concerns.”
“My favorite way of meeting with customers, or potential customers, is by making house calls. Hopefully I can solve a problem for them, whether it be finding a source of insurance, adequate insurance for less cost, more thorough coverage, uncovering a problem, or backing away if there are no problems to solve. My goal is to leave them feeling good about where they are with insurance coverage, be it making a change or remaining as they are.”

Alisha Christensen is a native of Mason County, having grown up in Riverton township and graduated from Mason County Central. She has since received professional degrees in Nutrition and Medical Office Assisting. Her family resides in PM township.

My introduction to the insurance business began with Knowles Agency in Scottville where I worked as Office Manager for Joe Knowles for 3 years. “I have been fortunate enough to transition to Smith & Eddy Insurance where I am now a licensed agent and continue to provide excellent customer service to our clients.”

Matt Johnson has been a life-long resident of Mason County. After graduating from Ludington High School in 1998, Matt graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelors Degree in accounting and finance. Matt has been employed with Smith & Eddy Insurance since 2004.
His primary focus is personal insurance, including home and automobile insurance. Matt and his wife Kim reside in Victory Township. Away from work, Matt enjoys spending time outdoors, biking, kayaking, hiking, and snowshoeing.

Dean Raven was born and raised in Mason County and graduated from Mason County Central High School in 2003. Dean went on to graduate from Albion College with a Bachelors Degree in Economics and Management. Dean recently joined the Smith and Eddy team in 2012 as a licensed agent. Prior to joining Smith and Eddy Insurance he worked in the banking industry as a loan officer for Onemain Financial located in Ludington. Dean and his wife Andrea, who is a teacher for Ludington Area Schools, live in the City of Ludington. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending local sporting events, and spending time outdoors hunting,fishing and playing golf.
